1/2 cup dried prune ( chopped )

1 egg ( beaten )
2 cups sour cream
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup almonds ( chopped )
2 tablespoons lemon rind ( grated )
1 teaspoon vanilla
powdered sugar ( optional )
candied fruit ( optional )

Instructions

1.-Preheat oven to 350°F
2.-Grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan
3.-In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, white flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, dried apricots, prunes, salt, egg, sour cream, melted butter, almonds, lemon rind and vanilla
4.-Stir until smooth and then pour into the prepared pan
5.-Bake in the preheated oven for 70-75 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean
6.-Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before removing and letting cool completely on a wire rack.
