2 tablespoons lemon rind ( grated )
1 teaspoon vanilla
powdered sugar ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.
2.In a large bowl, mix together sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, chopped apricots, chopped prunes, and salt.
3.In a separate bowl, whisk together egg, sour cream, melted butter, chopped almonds, lemon rind, and vanilla.
4.Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
5.Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth top.
6.Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7.Let cool before slicing and serving. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar and top with candied fruit.
