Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a mixing bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar and salt. Add butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbles.
3.Gradually add ice water until the mixture forms a dough. Roll out the dough and fit into a 9-inch tart pan.
4.Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork and chill for 30 minutes.
5.Bake the crust for around 20 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp. Let it cool completely.
6.In a small pot, heat up heavy cream and 4 tbsp of butter over low heat until butter has melted. Add chopped baking chocolate and stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
7.Add vanilla extract and stir.
8.Pour filling into the cooled tart crust.
9.In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, butter, and syrup. Cook over medium heat until the syrup turns golden brown. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
10.Pour the caramel on top of the chocolate filling and chill in the fridge until set.
11.Melt the remaining chocolate and drizzle over the tart. Chill in the fridge for an additional 10 minutes.
