2 1/2 - 3 cups chilled club soda
2 large Spanish onions , cut into 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings

Instructions

1.In a large pot or deep fryer, preheat the vegetable oil to 375°F.

4.Dip the onion ring slices into the batter, letting any excess drip off.
5.Carefully place the battered onion rings into the hot oil, working in batches as needed.
