When oranges are in season, it is a great time to try blood orange tea. Blood orange tea has a unique taste as compared to regular orange or lemon tea, making it perfect to try when you need a change during your tea time. Blood oranges have a distinct color and flavor, a result of anthocyanins, which are water-soluble pigments that change color based on the acidity of the fruit. These pigments give the tea its pinkish-red hue and the orange taste. After brewing, the tea has a light and sweet taste that will leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied.
