Ingredients

8 boneless veal steaks
155 g mushrooms
30 g butter
4 slices ham ( thin slices )
4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
60 g butter , extra
4 slices mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 beef stock cube
Stuffed Veal Scallops are an elegant and hearty dish that will make any meal feel special. This recipe features thin veal steaks filled with sautéed mushrooms and topped with ham, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese. The rolls are then baked to perfection and served with a rich beef broth for extra flavor. The tender and juicy meat combined with the melted cheese and mushroom filling creates a delicious flavor that will have you wanting more.

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Place the veal steaks between 2 sheets of wax paper and pound them thin with a meat mallet.
3.Wash and finely chop the mushrooms.
4.Melt 30g of butter in a sauté pan over medium-high heat, then add the mushrooms and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until they start to brown.
5.Put a slice of ham on each veal steak and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese.
6.Add the sautéed mushrooms on top of the ham and parmesan cheese.
7.Roll up the veal steaks and fasten with toothpicks.
8.In a large skillet, melt the extra 60g of butter and brown the veal rolls on all sides.
9.Transfer the veal rolls to an ovenproof dish and place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each roll.
10.Dissolve the beef stock cube in the hot water and pour it over the veal rolls.
11.Bake the veal rolls in the oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and browned.
