Ingredients

2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
9 ounces pork , cut into thin strips
2 teaspoons salt , divided
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon monosodium glutamate ( MSG )
3 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sweet bean paste
2 spring onions ( white parts only ) , cut into matchstick-size pieces
Stir-Fried Pork with Sweet Bean Paste, or Tianmianjiang Rousi in Chinese, is a flavorful dish that originated from Northeast China. It's a popular home-cooked meal that's easy to prepare and perfect for busy days. The combination of sweet and salty flavors makes this dish a favorite among many who enjoy Chinese cuisine. Sweet bean paste, which is a key ingredient in this dish, is a dark, thick paste made from fermented wheat flour and soybeans. It adds a unique and savory flavor to any dish it's used in. Instructions

1.In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons water and 1 teaspoon cornstarch, mix well.
2.Season pork strips with 1 teaspoon salt. In another bowl mix 3 tablespoons water, 1 teaspoon white sugar, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, and 1/8 teaspoon monosodium glutamate.
3.Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok over high heat, add the pork and stir-fry for 1 minute. Remove and set aside.
4.Add 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok, add sweet bean paste and stir-fry for 10 seconds. Add back the pork and mix well. Add the white parts of spring onion, sprinkle 1 teaspoon salt, and stir for 10 seconds.
5.Lastly, add the corn starch mixture and stir-fry until the sauce is thickened. Serve and enjoy!
