3 cloves garlic , chopped
1 yellow onion , thinly sliced
2 green bell peppers , thinly sliced
1 package firm tofu , drained and cubed
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons chili paste with garlic

Instructions

1.In a bowl, mix together the light soy sauce, white sugar, and cornstarch.
2.Stir in the Chinese rice wine and diced green onion.
3.Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat. Let the mixture marinate for at least 30 minutes.
4.In a wok or large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over high heat.
5.Add the garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
6.Add the yellow onion and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until slightly softened.
7.Add the green bell peppers and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until slightly softened.
8.Add the marinated chicken to the wok and stir-fry for 7-8 minutes until cooked through.
9.Add the cubed tofu, water, oyster sauce, and chili paste with garlic to the wok and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and coated in the sauce.
10.Serve hot with steamed rice.
