2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon chinese cooking wine
1 tablespoon clear honey
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger , grated
1 garlic clove , crushed
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
9 ounces shiitake mushrooms
Sticky spiced mushroom skewers are an excellent vegetarian meal option for dinner. With shiitake mushrooms marinated in a sweet ginger and honey sauce before grilling, these skewers are perfect for meatless Mondays. Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dark soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, clear honey, vegetable oil, grated ginger, crushed garlic and Chinese five spice powder.
2.Add shiitake mushrooms to the bowl and mix it well. Marinate for 15-20 minutes until mushrooms have softened.
3.Preheat the grill to high-medium heat and thread the marinated mushrooms on skewer.
4.Grill the skewers, turning frequently, until mushrooms are golden brown and tender for 10-12 minutes.
5.Serve with your favorite dip.
