Ingredients

1 tablespoon honey
8 sausages ( Cumberland )
3 red onions , finely sliced
6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
4 teaspoons demerara sugar

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/Gas Mark 6.

3.In the meantime, mix together the balsamic vinegar, demerara sugar, and honey in a small bowl.
4.When the onions are done, add the sausages to the pan and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
5.Pour the balsamic mixture over the sausage and onions and give it a good stir until everything is coated in the sticky sauce.
6.Transfer the sausages and onion mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through.
7.While the sausage and onions are cooking, slice the French baguette into portions.
8.Once the sausages are cooked, assemble the baguettes with the sticky onion and sausage mixture on top.
9.Serve immediately and enjoy!
