Ingredients

10 -12 ounces cooked egg noodles
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 2 lbs blue hake fillets or 2 lbs mahi mahi fillets
2 teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 tablespoon white sugar or 1 tablespoon Splenda sugar substitute
1 cup white wine
2 cups diced onions ( optional )
4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms or 4 cups canned mushroom stems and pieces
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 cups sour cream
1 green pepper , cored , seeded and sliced in rings ( optional )
roma tomato , slices ( optional )
Steamed fish with White Cream Stroganoff is an elegant seafood dish that is perfect for a special occasion or a romantic dinner for two. The dish is made with tender blue hake fillets or mahi mahi fillets that are seasoned with sea salt and lemon pepper and then browned in olive oil. The fish is then covered with a flavorful sauce made with mushrooms, garlic, sour cream, and white wine. The sauce is then baked in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the fish is tender and flaky. The dish is served over a bed of cooked egg noodles.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles, and cook according to package directions. Drain.
3.Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle fish fillets with lemon pepper and sea salt. Brown fillets in hot oil for 2 minutes per side.
4.Combine 3 tablespoons olive oil, lemon juice, water, dill weed, sugar, white wine, and onions in a pot. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to medium-low.
5.Add mushrooms and garlic to the pot. Cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
6.Add sour cream, green pepper, and tomatoes to the pot. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
7.Place fish fillets in a baking dish, and pour the sauce on top. Cover with foil.
8.Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
9.Serve the fish and sauce over the cooked noodles.
