Ingredients

1 whole duck
1 tablespoon Chinese five spice powder
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
5 slices fresh ginger , big
4 cloves garlic
1/2 bunch green onion
1 tangerine , peel cut in big strips
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.Rinse the duck under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels.
3.Rub the five spice powder, sugar, and salt all over the duck, inside and out.
4.Place the ginger, garlic, green onion, and tangerine peel inside the duck cavity.
5.In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, honey, and soy sauce.
6.Place the duck on a rack in a roasting pan and brush the duck generously with the glaze.
7.Roast duck in the oven for 45-50 minutes, brushing the duck with the glaze every 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature of the duck reaches 165°F.
8.Remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
