Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
10 large shrimp , peeled , deveined , sliced in half length-wise
1 garlic clove , minced
1 1/4 cups shredded green cabbage
1/4 cup shredded carrot
1 cup cooked chicken , shredded ( or chopped )
1 egg , lightly beaten
3 cups long grain or 3 cups basmati rice , cooked and cold
2 tablespoons ketjap manis ( indonesion sweet soy sauce )
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce ( or to taste )
Sriracha & Ketjap Manis Fried Rice is a twist on the classic Chinese takeout dish, but with an Indonesian twist. This version of fried rice is made with ketjap manis, a sweet soy sauce commonly used in Indonesian cuisine, as well as sriracha sauce for added heat. The result is a deliciously spicy and sweet rice dish that is sure to satisfy any craving for Asian flavors.

Instructions

1.Heat a large wok over high heat, and add oil.
2.When hot, add the shrimp and garlic, and stir-fry for 1 minute.
3.Add cabbage and carrot, and continue stir-frying for another 1-2 minutes.
4.Add chicken, and continue stir-frying for 1 minute.
5.Push the ingredients to one side, and add the egg to the other side. Stir-fry until lightly scrambled, and then mix everything together.
6.Add the cold rice, ketjap manis, sesame oil, and sriracha sauce. Stir-fry until the rice is heated through, and everything is well combined.
7.Serve immediately, topped with extra sriracha sauce and chopped green onions, if desired.
