4 eggs , separated
1 pound confectioners ' sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon anise oil
4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until thick, in another bowl beat egg whites until stiff.
2.Gradually mix in confectioners' sugar, baking powder, anise oil, and flour into the egg yolk mixture until blended.
3.Add the egg whites to the mixture and mix until combined.
4.Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes. Place onto a greased baking sheet and allow to air dry for at least 12-24 hours.
5.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, let cool for 10 minutes, then transfer onto a wire rack.
