3 -4 baking potatoes , washed , peeled and quatered into big chunks
1 yellow onion , chopped

1 can of niblet corn
1 can sweet peas
1 can black-eyed peas
1 can green beans
1 can lima beans , drained and rinsed
olive oil
1 can crushed tomatoes , with seasonings
1 lb ground beef or 1 lb turkey
of mexican green chili
1 can hot rotel tomatoes and green peppers
of swanson 's garlic flavored chicken broth
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
6 -10 dashes Tabasco sauce
salt and pepper
tony 's cajun seasoning

Instructions

1.In a large soup pot, brown the ground beef or turkey with olive oil.
2.Add the chopped onion, garlic, celery, and green pepper to the pot, stirring to combine.
3.Add all the canned vegetables, potatoes and carrots to the pot.
4.Add the swanson's garlic flavored chicken broth, hot rotel tomatoes and green peppers, mexican green chili and crushed tomatoes.

6.Bring the soup to a low boil and then reduce the heat to low, let it simmer for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7.Serve the soup hot with your choice of toppings such as fresh herbs, cheese, or sour cream.
