1 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
150 ml water
375 g premade puff pastry
2 teaspoons onion seeds
milk , plus
1 egg , for glazing and sealing

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6.
2.Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add ground lamb. Cook, stirring occasionally until browned for 5-7 minutes
3.Add diced onions, chopped green chilies, salt, garam masala, coriander powder, and chili powder and cook for another few minutes.
4.Pour 150 ml water over the lamb mixture and stir to combine. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the mixture is properly cooked and the water has evaporated. Let the mixture cool down completely before using it for the pastries.
5.Roll out the puff pastry. Cut them into the desired size and shape you want to make the pastries.
6.Place the cooled lamb keema mixture onto the center of each pastry piece.
7.Sprinkle onion seeds onto the keema filling.
8.Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash.
9.Bring the edges of the pastry together over the filling and seal the parcel by pressing it together with your fingers or a fork.
10.Brush the pastries all over with egg wash and sprinkle a pinch of onion seeds on top for an extra crunch. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crispy.
