Spiced Clarified Butter, also known as Nit’ir Qibe, is a traditional Ethiopian recipe. The combination of unsalted butter and aromatic spices makes it perfect to use in a variety of dishes or as a spread. By removing the milk solids, the butter has a longer shelf life and is more suitable for people with lactose intolerance. It's popularly used in many Ethiopian dishes to give it a rich flavor. This recipe is easy to make, and the end product, when chilled, has a beautiful golden color and soft texture that is perfect for smearing on bread or using in your cooking.
