1 can Spam , cut into 1/2 -inch strips and fried
5 pieces cucumbers , same size as Spam strips , length of nori sheet
5 sheets nori ( seaweed )
mayonnaise
wasabi paste ( optional )
maggi seasoning sauce ( optional )

Instructions

1.Cook the white rice according to the package instructions and set aside to cool.
2.Cut the Spam into 1/2 inch strips and fry until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to drain.
3.Use a sharp knife to cut the cucumbers into 1/2 inch strips, the same size as the Spam strips.
4.Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo rolling mat with the shiny side down.
5.Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the nori sheet.
6.Spread a thin layer of rice over the mayonnaise, leaving a 1 inch border at the top of the sheet.
7.Drizzle a small amount of Maggi seasoning sauce over the rice, and add a small amount of wasabi paste (if using).
8.Arrange the Spam strips and cucumber strips horizontally across the rice, about 1 inch from the bottom of the sheet.
9.Using the bamboo mat to help you, roll the bottom edge of the sheet tightly over the Spam and cucumber, using your fingers to keep the filling in place as you roll.
10.When you reach the top edge of the sheet, use a small amount of water to moisten the border and complete the roll. Press firmly to seal the nori sheet to the rice and filling.
11.Repeat with the remaining sheets of nori and filling.
12.Use a sharp knife to slice the rolls into bite-sized pieces and serve with soy sauce and additional wasabi paste.
