Onigiri, also known as omusubi, is a popular Japanese snack made from sticky rice shaped into a ball or triangle and filled with various ingredients, such as meat, fish, vegetables, or pickles. It's often wrapped in nori, a type of seaweed, which adds flavor and texture. Spam and Egg Onigiri is a fusion of Japanese and Western flavors, combining canned meat and scrambled eggs with steamed rice. It's a convenient snack for on-the-go, hiking, or picnics and is widely available in convenience stores in Japan. While not the healthiest snack option, it's a filling and easy-to-make comfort food that's perfect for any time of the day.

Instructions

1.Cut the luncheon meat into small pieces and fry in a hot non-stick frying pan until browned. Remove from pan and cool down.
2.In the same frying pan, beat the eggs with salt and pepper then fry over medium heat until the scrambled eggs are set. Remove from pan and cool down.
3.Wet your hands with water and take about a quarter cup of cooked rice in your palms. Make a small well in the center of the rice and place a little of the fried spam and scrambled eggs inside. Cover with more rice and shape into a triangle or ball. Repeat until all ingredients are used up.
4.Place a small sheet of nori, shiny side down, on a flat surface. Position the rice triangle on top of the nori and wrap around the rice, sealing the edges.
