Ingredients

1 limes , zest of or 1 lime , juice of
2 tablespoons canola oil
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup water
hot sauce
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 green onion , chopped
1 garlic clove , minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 pinch salt

Instructions

1.In a bowl, whisk together lime zest, lime juice, canola oil, honey and water until well combined.
2.Stir in hot sauce, cilantro, green onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, chili powder, cumin, cocoa powder and salt.
3.Add beef, chicken, pork or vegetables to a re-sealable plastic bag and pour marinade over it.
4.Place the bag(s) in the refrigerator and allow to marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.
5.Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
6.Remove meat from marinade and discard excess marinade.
7.Cook meat on the grill, turning occasionally, until it reaches desired doneness.
8.Serve with your favorite sides and toppings.
