Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 lemon , zest of , grated
4 medium granny smith apples , Granny Smith , peeled , cored and halved
1 tablespoon lemon juice , freshly squeezed
1 teaspoon calvados

Instructions

1.In a medium saucepan, stir together the sugar and grated lemon zest.
