4 cups shredded sweetened coconut
If you're looking for a fun and festive treat to make this winter, you should definitely try these Snow Covered Apples. They are a twist on the classic caramel apples, but with a twist of white chocolate and shredded coconut. The result is a sweet and decadent dessert that looks like snowballs, hence the name. These apples are easily customizable, and you can use any type of apple you like, but I prefer fuji apples for their crunchiness and sweetness. This recipe is perfect for a winter party, a family movie night, or a cozy night in with your loved ones. All you need is 3 ingredients and 30 minutes!

Instructions

1.Wash the apples and remove the stems. Dry them completely with a paper towel.
2.Insert a wooden stick into the center of each apple and set aside.
3.In a double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips, stirring constantly until smooth.
4.In another bowl, place the shredded coconut.
5.Hold the stick and dip each apple in the melted white chocolate, spooning the chocolate over it to cover entirely. Let the excess chocolate drip off.
6.Roll the chocolate-coated apple in the bowl of shredded coconut, coating it generously.
7.Place the apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate has hardened. Serve chilled and enjoy!

PROS

The Snow Covered Apples are easy and quick to make, with only three ingredients.
The white chocolate and coconut add creamy and crispy textures that pair well together.
This recipe is perfect for a snack or as a dessert for any occasion.

CONS

White chocolate and shredded coconut can be high in calories and sugar, so it’s best to eat these apples in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
Moreover, the apples are not peeled, so if you don’t like the texture of apple skin, you may want to peel them before making this recipe.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

These Snow Covered Apples are a sweet treat that can add some nutrition to your diet. Apples are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that can boost immunity and prevent chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease. Moreover, coconut is rich in fiber, healthy fats, and minerals that can aid digestion and improve blood sugar levels. However, the sugar and fat content in white chocolate chips should be limited to maintain a healthy weight and prevent obesity and diabetes.
