Ingredients

3 gallons water
8 ounces crystal malt 60L in a grain bag
1/2 gallon water
8 pounds liquid malt extract
3 ounces Perle hops
2 ounces Willamette hops
1 teaspoon Irish moss ( carrageen )
1 ( .25 ounce ) envelope instant ale yeast
1 1/2 gallons water
4 ounces corn sugar ( dextrose )
Snail Pale is a craft beer recipe that adds a unique twist to the traditional pale ale brewing process by using crystal malt in the recipe. Instructions

1.In a large stockpot or brew kettle, bring 3 gallons of water to a boil.
2.Add the crystal malt in a grain bag and let steep for 20 minutes.
3.Remove the grain bag and sparge with 1/2 gallon of water.
4.Bring the wort to a boil and add the liquid malt extract, Perle and Willamette hops, and Irish moss.
5.Boil for 60 minutes and then add the ale yeast.
6.Ferment in a primary fermenter for 1-2 weeks and then transfer to a secondary fermenter for 2-4 weeks.
7.Add the corn sugar and bottle in glass bottles or keg as desired.
