Poblano peppers are a mild chili pepper that adds depth of flavor without too much spice. This salsa is a great way to incorporate more vegetables into your diet, and it's an easy way to spice up any meal. Serve it with chips as a snack, or add it to grilled chicken or fish for a burst of flavor. The possibilities are endless!

Instructions

1.In a blender, combine the cilantro, garlic, salt, and chile peppers. Blend until smooth.
2.Add the jalapeno peppers, serrano pepper, lettuce, and avocados, and pulse a few times until the mixture is combined but still chunky.
3.Add the olive oil and water, and pulse a few more times until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

PROS

This Poblano Salsa is bursting with flavor, thanks to the combination of fresh cilantro and a variety of peppers.

It’s also versatile- use it as a dip, spread it on tacos or quesadillas, or add it to your favorite dishes for a spicy kick.

CONS

This salsa is quite spicy- adjust the amount of peppers to your liking if you prefer something milder.

It also contains a fair amount of avocado and oil, so it does have a higher fat content than some other salsas.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

Despite its fat content, this salsa is quite healthy. Avocados are a great source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, and the peppers bring a variety of vitamins and minerals to the table.
The cilantro and garlic also offer some immune-boosting benefits.
