Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings
1 -2 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 medium garlic clove , crushed
1 teaspoon fresh gingerroot
3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons Bourbon
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/8 teaspoon smoked chipotle chili pepper ( if you want more heat add more )
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Cut the chicken wings into three pieces and remove the tips.
3.In a large mixing bowl, whisk olive oil, butter, garlic, gingerroot, red pepper flakes, dark brown sugar, ketchup, balsamic vinegar, water, soy sauce, Bourbon, smoked paprika, smoked chipotle chili pepper, and black pepper until smooth.

5.Line a baking sheet with a parchment paper and spread the wings evenly in a single layer.
6.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
7.Broil the wings for 2-3 minutes per side until crisp and golden.
