Små Flødekager, or Small Cream Cakes in English, are a traditional Danish dessert typically served during afternoon tea time or as a sweet treat after dinner. These delightful little cakes are made with simple ingredients such as eggs, sugar, flour, and cardamom. The cardamom gives it a unique and slightly spicy flavor that pairs perfectly with the light and fluffy texture of the cakes. Once baked, they are filled with whipped cream, making them a decadent and indulgent dessert. Although not the healthiest treat, they are certainly worth the calories for a special occasion.
