Ingredients

2 large garlic cloves , crushed
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 cup ground almonds
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons ghee or 2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 1/2 lbs lamb or 1 1/2 lbs chicken , diced
1 large onion , finely chopped
100 g creamed coconut
1 1/4 cups water
4 cardamom pods , split
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 pinch ground cloves
2 teaspoons fine sugar
salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Slow Cooker Lamb (Or Chicken) Korma is a popular Indian dish that is perfect for a hearty meal. This recipe uses a slow cooker to ensure a flavorful and tender meat. Instructions

1.In a blender or food processor, blend together the garlic and ginger. Add the ground almonds and 4 tablespoons of water to create a smooth paste.
2.Heat the ghee or coconut oil over high heat in a large pan or Dutch oven. Cook the lamb or chicken in batches until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
3.Add the onion and cook until translucent. Add the ground almond paste, creamed coconut, 1 1/4 cups of water, cardamom pods, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, chili powder, ground cloves, fine sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
4.Pour the mixture into a slow cooker and add the browned lamb or chicken. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours.
5.Sprinkle with garam masala before serving.
