1/4 cup vegetable oil , divided
4 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
4 pods black cardamom
2 onions , sliced
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast , cut into 2-inch cubes
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup fat-free yogurt
4 green chile peppers
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon ground chile pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
10 cups water
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 pods green cardamom
2 whole cloves
2 bay leaves
Slow-cooked chicken biryani is a popular South Asian dish that is known for its rich aroma and flavorful spices. Instructions

1.Rinse rice in cold water until the water runs clear and soak for 30 minutes.

3.Add ginger-garlic paste, fresh mint and cilantro, and cook for about 2 minutes.
4.Add chicken cubes, salt, fat-free yogurt, green chile peppers, and lemon juice. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes.
5.Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Add ground chile pepper, ground turmeric, and cumin seeds. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
6.Add the soaked rice, green cardamom, whole cloves, bay leaves, salt, and water. Bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
7.Cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is fluffy and tender. Layer the chicken and rice in a serving dish and serve hot.
