Instructions

1.In a small bowl, add saffron and cover with hot water. Set aside to steep for 5 minutes.
2.In a small pot, add cloves, cinnamon, mace blade, and 2 cups of milk. Bring to a gentle boil and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
3.In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup of milk. Stir until smooth.
4.In a large pot, add sugar, the remaining 2 cups of milk, and the spiced milk from step 2. Bring to a gentle boil and let simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cornstarch mixture and whisk until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
5.Strain the saffron water into the milk mixture and stir.
6.Serve the Slemp warm or cold.
