3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 lbs sweet onions
1/4 lb diced smoked ham
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon caraway seed
2 tablespoons oil or 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
2.Add salt and flour, knead until smooth. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 30 minutes.
3.Meanwhile, peel and thinly slice sweet onions. Sautee the onions with diced smoked ham in a pan over medium heat until translucent.
4.Preheat the oven to 350F. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled baking sheet.
5.In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream, eggs, a pinch of salt, caraway seed, and oil/melted butter. Pour the mixture over the dough.
6.Add the onion and ham mixture on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
