Ingredients

200 g skinless chicken
250 g rice , washed & soaked for 30 minutes
1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
3 tomatoes , round sliced
4 green chilies
75 g sindhi biryani masala
3 medium onions , sliced
3 tablespoons oil

Instructions

1.In a heavy bottomed pan, heat oil and fry the onions until caramelized.
2.Add the chicken and sindhi biryani masala and cook until the chicken is golden brown.
3.Add the tomatoes and green chilies along with a splash of water. Cover and let simmer on low heat until fully cooked.
4.In a separate pot, add the soaked rice and double the amount of water. Cook until the rice is fluffy and fully cooked.
5.Take half of the cooked biryani and spread it evenly in the serving dish. Then add a layer of low-fat yogurt. Repeat with the other half of the biryani and yogurt.
6.Cover with a lid or foil and let steam for 10-15 minutes before serving.
