8 ounces plain white flour

2 ounces margarine or 2 ounces butter ( 50g )
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon water
1 egg , beaten
1 ounce sesame seeds or 1 ounce poppy seed , approximately ( 25g )

Instructions

1.Combine flour and salt in a large bowl and mix well.

5.Shape the rope into a ring and press the ends together to seal.

7.Place the rings on a greased baking sheet and let rise for 20 minutes.
8.Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C).
9.Bake the simit for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
10.Serve warm.
