Ingredients

15 ounces silken tofu ( Japanese , Chinese , Korean- not firm tofu )
3/4 cup chinese garlic chives
6 tablespoons soy sauce ( good quality , like Tamari brand )
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon chili oil ( optional )
2 sheets nori ( dry seaweed , small sheets about 2 x 3 inch , broken up into small pieces )
Silken tofu with chives is a simple and flavorful Japanese-style dish that is perfect for a light lunch or side dish. The velvety texture of the tofu pairs perfectly with the pungent flavor of the garlic chives and the salty, umami flavors of the soy sauce and sesame oil. This dish can be served as a vegetarian main course or as a side dish with steamed rice or noodles. Instructions

1.Remove tofu from packaging and cut into bite-sized cubes.
2.Rinse and chop garlic chives into 2 inch pieces.
3.In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili oil (optional).
4.Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the tofu cubes, stirring occasionally until lightly browned on all sides.
5.Add the garlic chives to the pan and continue to cook until wilted and aromatic, approximately 1-2 minutes.
6.Remove pan from heat and pour soy sauce mixture over tofu and chives, tossing gently to coat.
7.Serve hot, garnished with nori pieces.
