Banana Lumpia, also known as Turon, is a popular snack and dessert in the Philippines. The dish is often served during special occasions like birthdays, fiestas, and family gatherings. Turon is made by wrapping a banana and jackfruit in lumpia skin, then deep-frying it until it's crispy and golden brown. However, this recipe is a little different. Instead of using jackfruit, we're using brown sugar to make it more sumptuous. It’s a mouthwatering dish that will make you pause for a moment and savor the goodness in each bite.

Instructions

.Peel the ripe plantains and slice it thinly.
.Lay the lumpia skin flat on a clean surface.
.Put the sliced plantain at the center of the lumpia skin.
.Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the plantain slices.
.Roll the lumpia skin upward, tucking in the sides halfway through the roll.
.Apply water to the top part of the lumpia skin to seal it.
.Heat enough cooking oil in a frying pan.
.Once the oil is hot enough, put the lumpia rolls into the frying pan.
.Fry the lumpia rolls for about 5-8 minutes or until golden brown.
.Remove the lumpia rolls from the frying pan and transfer them into a plate.
.Serve the banana lumpia with your desired dipping sauce.
