Ingredients

300 g split green gram dal
2 large potatoes
1 inch fresh ginger
2 big green chilies
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 pinch black pepper
salt
oil , to deep fry

Instructions

1.Soak green gram dal in water for 3 hours. Drain.
2.Boil potatoes until fully cooked and mash them.
3.Grind dal, ginger and green chilies with little to no water to form a thick paste.
4.Mix the mashed potatoes, dal paste, red chili powder, black pepper and salt in a bowl. Knead into a smooth dough.
5.Pinch small portions of the dough and roll them into finger shapes.
6.Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the finger-shaped pieces until they are crispy and golden brown.
7.Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
