1 envelope active dry yeast
1/3 cup lukewarm water
6 tablespoons sugar , plus
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
5 tablespoons margarine or 5 tablespoons butter , cut into pieces
3/4 cup boiling water
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup very soft margarine or 1/2 cup butter , for spreading on dough

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and 1 tsp sugar, let mixture rest for 5 minutes.
2.Add salt, 6 tablespoons sugar, and margarine or butter to the yeast mixture, stirring to combine.
3.Stir in boiling water, then add flour gradually until dough becomes smooth.
4.Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for several minutes before returning to the bowl, cover and allow to rise overnight in the fridge.
5.Preheat oven to 350° F.
6.Grease a baking dish and a piece of parchment paper, and then roll dough into small balls and place in the prepared baking dish.
7.Spread the soft margarine or butter over dough balls and cover dish with the prepared parchment paper.
8.Bake for 1½ hours or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
