Instructions

1.Toast the sesame seeds in a skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently until they turn golden-brown.
2.In a saucepan, add butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves.
3.Once the sugar dissolves, stop stirring and let the mixture boil until it reaches 290°F (143°C) on a candy thermometer.
4.Remove from heat and immediately stir in the baking soda and toasted sesame seeds.
5.Pour the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet, spreading it to an even thickness. Let it cool and break into pieces.
