Ingredients

8 large sea scallops
3/4 lb of your favorite white fish fillet ( Cod or sea bass my favorite )
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white pepper
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 lb mushroom , sliced
1/4 cup sweet white wine or 1/4 cup sherry wine
1 1/2 - 2 1/2 lbs fresh mashed potatoes , about 5-8 large potatoes

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2.Cut the scallops and fish fillet into small bite-sized pieces.
3.In a saucepan, heat the milk, salt and white pepper to simmer.
4.In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and stir in the flour until a paste forms.
5.Slowly whisk in the heated milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
6.Add mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes, then pour in the wine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
7.Add in the scallops and fish and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
8.Pour the mixture into a casserole dish and set aside.
9.Peel and boil the potatoes until soft enough to mash.
10.Mash the potatoes with butter and milk, then spread evenly over the seafood mixture.
11.Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
