Scottish morning rolls are a traditional breakfast food in Scotland, but they can be enjoyed anytime. These rolls have a soft and fluffy texture with a light crust on the outside. They are perfect for serving with butter and jam, or for making into breakfast sandwiches. The dough is made from simple ingredients, but the process of letting it rise makes the rolls extra delicious.

Instructions

.In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
.In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk and water.
.Add the yeast mixture to the flour and mix until combined.
.Knead the dough on a floured surface for approximately 10 minutes.
.Place the dough in a clean bowl, cover and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
.Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
.Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape them into rolls.
.Place the rolls onto a greased baking tray and leave them to rise for another 10 minutes.
.Brush the rolls with the remaining milk and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
.Serve warm and enjoy!
