Scones are a traditional British baked good that have become popular worldwide. They are similar in texture and flavor to biscuits, but scones are typically sweeter and can be made with a variety of flavorings ranging from cheese and herbs to lavender and lemon. This recipe uses simple ingredients like flour, cream, and milk to create a classic scone that is tender, buttery, and lightly sweetened. Scones are often served with jam and clotted cream, butter, honey, or lemon curd, and can be paired with tea, coffee, or hot chocolate for a cozy breakfast or snack.
