6 medium potatoes ( about 2-1/4 pounds )
3 eggs
6 tablespoons flour

Instructions

1.Heat oven to 350°F
2.Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Place in a lidded container.
3.Saute onion, carrot and celery in bacon fat.
4.Combine vinegar, cloves, peppercorns, bay leaves, 2 cups water, and sugar and bring to a boil.
5.Pour the liquid over the meat and vegetables, cover, and cook in the oven for 4 hours.
6.Remove beef from the container and keep warm.

8.Put the ginger snaps in the cooking liquid and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
