2 teaspoons crushed garlic , divided
1/2 cup crushed cashews , divided
2 green onions , finely chopped , divided
2 ounces smoked salmon , cut into strips , divided

Instructions

4.Turn off the heat and let the rice stand, covered, for another 10 minutes.
5.In a small saucepan, heat the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
6.Transfer the rice to a large bowl. Add the vinegar mixture and stir until the rice is coated.
7.On a bamboo mat, place one sheet of nori. Spread half of the rice mixture onto the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the edge farthest from you.
8.Top the rice with half of the cream cheese, garlic, cashews, green onions, and smoked salmon.
9.Use the bamboo mat to roll the sushi into a tight cylinder. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
