Ingredients

1 1/2 cups simple syrup
3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin , about 3 packages
2 cups spanish red wine or 2 cups argentinian red wine
1/2 cup orange-flavored brandy or 1/2 cup liqueur
1 orange ( or 2 orange-peel strips )

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, combine the gelatin and simple syrup. Let it sit for a few minutes to bloom.
2.Heat the red wine and orange-flavored brandy in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the gelatin until it dissolves.
3.Using one half of an orange, rub the peel around the wells of a mini muffin pan.
4.Pour the gelatin mixture into the muffin wells and place the muffin pan in the fridge until fully set.
5.Once set, remove the muffin pan from the fridge and, using a butter knife, pop the sangria bites out of the wells and onto a serving dish.
