CONS

Unfortunately, pork ribs are not the healthiest choice due to their high fat content.

There is also added sugar in this recipe with 1/4 cup of red currant jelly added to the salsa glaze mix.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

Pork is an excellent source of protein, providing your body with essential amino acids. Iron, a mineral that is vital for red blood cell production, is also found in pork ribs. However, too much red meat can increase the risk of heart disease, so it’s best to consume it in moderation.

Salsa, on the other hand, is low in calories and high in Vitamin C, and it is a good source of lycopene, an antioxidant that helps fight against cell damage. Lycopene may also prevent certain cancers.

Red currant jelly contains antioxidants, dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals that are good for your overall health. It has also been shown to boost the immune system, which can help fight off infections. However, it’s important to use it sparingly, given its sugar content.
