2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion , diced
2 garlic cloves , minced
1 lb button mushroom
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons sour cream
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons fresh dill , chopped ( to garnish )
Russian Mushroom Caviar is a perfect appetizer for any occasion. It's a creamy mushroom spread that can be served on toast or as a dip for vegetables. This recipe is easy to make and can be prepared ahead of time. The sour cream gives it a tangy flavor, while the fresh dill adds a pop of freshness.

Instructions

1.Heat butter or olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
2.Add diced onions and minced garlic, sauté for 2 minutes.
3.Add chopped mushrooms and salt and pepper, cook until mushrooms are browned and most of the liquid has evaporated (around 10-15 minutes).
4.Remove from heat and let it cool down.
5.In a bowl, mix the cooled mushroom mixture with fresh lemon juice and sour cream.
6.Garnish with fresh dill.
7.Serve as a spread on toast or as a dip for vegetables.
