1 1 lb spring cabbage or 1 lb kale
1 medium onions or 2 leeks , finely chopped ( just the white part )
3 ounces butter
single cream ( light table cream )
2 ounces mature cheddar cheese
chopped fresh chives
black pepper
salt

Instructions
