1/4 cup chopped walnuts ( or pecans )
1/2 cup golden raisin
1 large egg

Instructions

1.Mix flour and salt in a bowl
2.Beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth in a separate bowl
3.Add the flour to the butter mixture and blend together
4.Chill the dough for several hours or overnight
5.Preheat the oven to 375°F
6.Roll the dough into a circle
7.Spread the apricot preserves over the dough
8.Mix the sugar, cinnamon, walnuts, and raisins and sprinkle over the preserves
9.Cut the dough into wedges and roll each one up
10.Beat the egg and brush over the top of each rugelah
11.Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes
