Ingredients

1/3 cup ghee ( clarified butter )
1 bulb garlic , peeled and minced
1/2 teaspoon toasted cumin seed
1 can tomato paste
1 piece ginger , peeled and minced
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon salt
1 large onion , finely chopped
1 cup water , or as needed
1 box frozen chopped spinach , thawed and drained
1 pound paneer , cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon garam masala
Rosy's Palak Paneer is a classic vegetarian dish from North India that is popular worldwide. Palak means spinach and paneer is cottage cheese in Hindi. This dish is made with spinach puree and paneer, simmered over low heat with spices and seasonings to create a nutritious, comforting meal that is easy to make. Instructions

1.Heat ghee in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cumin seeds and cook for 1 minute.
2.Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
3.Add ginger, garam masala, salt, and tomato paste and cook, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes.
4.Stir in 1/2 cup of water and bring to a simmer. Add the spinach and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5.Add paneer and remaining water and cook for 3-5 minutes or until paneer is heated through. Remove from heat, sprinkle with garam masala and cilantro, and serve hot with rice or naan.
