10 sheets phyllo pastry
200 g clarified butter , melted
100 g icing sugar
100 ml honey , warmed
250 g strawberries
caster sugar
dried rose petals ( optional )
100 g Turkish Delight , small dice

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Grease a 20 x 30cm baking dish and set aside.
2.In a bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, and caster sugar until well combined.
3.Add the egg yolks and whisk again until combined.
4.Add the rose water and a splash of red food coloring and whisk until the mixture is a light shade of pink.
5.Layer the phyllo pastry sheets in the prepared baking dish, brushing each sheet with melted clarified butter as you go.
6.Pour the milk and egg mixture over the layers of pastry, making sure each layer is thoroughly coated.
7.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
8.Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
9.To serve, dust with icing sugar and drizzle with warmed honey. Top with fresh strawberries, a sprinkle of caster sugar, and some chopped Turkish delight. Garnish with dried rose petals if desired.
