Ingredients

5 tablespoons olive oil , divided
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 New York strip steaks
Chimichurri Sauce :
8 cloves garlic , peeled
1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
The roasted New York strip steak with Chimichurri sauce is a foodie's delight. Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, cumin, red pepper flakes, and oregano. Rub the mixture all over the steaks and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
2.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
3.Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil and swirl to coat the skillet. Add the steaks and sear for 2 minutes on each side.
4.Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 6-8 minutes, or until the steaks reach the desired doneness (145°F for medium rare).
5.While the steaks are roasting, prepare the Chimichurri sauce. In a food processor, pulse the garlic until finely chopped. Add the parsley, cilantro, red wine vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until everything is finely chopped and well combined.
6.Serve the steaks immediately with the Chimichurri sauce on the side.
